Fourth Grade Heritage Day

Wilton’s fourth graders won’t just read about history — they’ll spend the day immersed in it. Through a full day of exploration with the Heritage Commission, students will visit the stories, places, and people that shaped their town and their nation, including a picnic lunch at the Fish Family farm — the oldest home in Wilton. It’s the kind of day that turns a date on a calendar into a memory that lasts a lifetime.

These same students will take their place at the heart of our celebration on May 9, joining their neighbors to plant Wilton’s Liberty Tree in Whiting Park — a living symbol of freedom that will grow alongside them for generations to come. The children who plant this tree today will see it reach its full height in their lifetimes.
