Your Questions

  • All of our events on May 9, 2026 are in Wilton, NH. The morning and midday activities are centered in downtown — at Whiting Park, Main Street Park, the War Memorial, and the River Walk adjacent to the police station. Several afternoon and evening activities take place in some of Wilton's most special spots, including Sheldrick Forest and Carnival Hill.

Each event listing includes a Google Maps link so you can navigate there with ease!

  • Yes! Each event is listed individually on our Events page with its own location and Google Maps link for easy navigation.

You can also find a full map of all May 9 parks, parking lots, public restrooms, and the procession route under it’s own section under the FAQ.

  • Yes! All of our events are free to attend, made possible by our generous sponsors. The only costs you'll encounter are optional purchases from food vendors and the Farm & Craft Market.

  • On-street parking is available throughout downtown Wilton. Additional public parking can be found at:

    • The Library

    • Florence Rideout Elementary School

    • Adjacent to the War Memorial

    • Howard Street behind the Post Office, at the Souhegan Mill building

  • Rain or shine — we're celebrating! After all, the patriots who fought for our independence didn't check the forecast, and neither will we.

Almost everything on May 9 is happening outdoors regardless of the weather. The bands and BBQ at Main Street Park are under tents, so the party goes on no matter what.

So go ahead and do your patriotic duty: come outside and celebrate with us!

  • Restrooms are available throughout the event area. The Wilton Town Hall Theatre will be open all day and has restrooms on the main floor. The Wilton Public Library also has restrooms during its regular operating hours. And yes — we've got you covered outdoors too! Fresh, clean portable restrooms will be set up just for the occasion at Whiting Park and the River Walk Park.

  • Well-behaved dogs are welcome at all of our outdoor locations — with one exception. Sheldrick Forest does not allow dogs due to its sensitive habitat, so please plan accordingly.

A couple of things to keep in mind: there will be cannon and musket fire throughout the day, which can startle even the most seasoned pup. Please use your best judgment about whether your dog will be comfortable. And as always — please keep your dog on a leash, under control, and clean up after them. We want everyone, two-legged and four-legged, to have a great day!
