Continental Army Encampment

  • Whiting Park 35 Park St Wilton, NH (map)

Step back into the 18th century at Whiting Park for an immersive, all-day living history event. Witness the sights and sounds of the American Revolution as the 1st NH Regiment brings the past to life with interactive displays of camp life, authentic militia formations, and the thunderous roar of musket volleys and cannon fire.

The 1st NH Regiment is a dedicated group of historical educators who recreate the most storied unit of "regulars" from the Continental Army. From the front lines of Bunker Hill to the winter at Valley Forge, this unit served longer than any other in the Revolutionary War—8 years and 8 months—and today they carry on that legacy by sharing the authentic stories and skills of New Hampshire’s original patriots.
